THE VISION

A landmark born from a diamond.

Diamond Tower is Uganda's proposed tallest skyscraper at 220 metres, located at the junction of Lugogo Bypass Road and Nviri Lane in Kololo — Kampala's most affluent neighbourhood.

The tower takes its name from the shape of its site, which depicts a diamond. The entire typical floor plan of the skyscraper reflects this abstract diamond geometry.

Designed by the award-winning team at Angiletti Design Studio, the project entered its design phase in mid-2024 and has since been submitted to NEMA and KCCA for planning approval, with construction expected to commence in 2026.

Designed for Kampala's next 35 years.

Kampala has a current population density of over 25,568 inhabitants per km², projected to exceed 73,000 per km² by 2061. Feasibility studies by Angiletti Design Studio revealed that no housing project below 12 storeys on city land should be encouraged.

Diamond Tower directly responds to this urban challenge — offering a vertical, high-density, high-quality living and commercial model that sets the benchmark for how Kampala's housing typology must evolve to prevent further slum development.
